Who is building this and why?
This is Varahamihir Gupta, from India. I see an opportunity with Timeflix to create a superior hybrid watch—one where the display is not obstructed by clock hands and is as feature-rich as a full smartwatch. While also puting a lot of effort in the classic design style we are going with for our first version, my goal is to keep it open for customization, encouraging users to design custom watch faces within the community. Beyond that, I see a great potential for future design developments using this custom mechanical hand movements we are building and internal electronics while introducing various dial and casing style variations. I respect my own privacy and I am setting the same standards that I need in the Timeflix Watch as well. Its more than a project for me, its the perfect smartwatch I have been trying to find in the market for years and have failed to find one. As a Youtuber with my channel revolving around modding phones, hacking samrtwatches and testing the wearables bought, I would write notes about them all, somewhere in my mind I was already forming this idea of a better smartwatch for me and for everyone. In March of 2024 I jotted all these thoughts revolving in my mind and decided to dedicate the years to come into this. This is exactly what Timeflix watch is growing up to be.
